The material distributed by TCI-IWWIP Program provides, in general, two different group,
a. The germplasm developed within IWWIP program
b. Germplasm provided by IWWIP cooperators and agree to be distributed by IWWIP.
c. The germplasm is distributed with SMTA. Any cooperator requests any germplasm from TCI-IWWIP agrees with the conditions given in the SMTA (click-wrap).
d. If any cooperator requests any germplasm, s/he agrees that s/he will provide the data for the respective germplasm requested. If any requester does not provide data in time (by the end of November of planting year), s/he is not eligible to request any germplasm from IWWIP for coming season(s).
31st FAWWON-IR: 31st Facultative and Winter Wheat Observation Nursery for Irrigated Environments
This nursery with the global distribution addresses the irrigated and high rainfall environments with the yield level of 3-6 t/ha. Its objective is to offer diverse germplasm for evaluation on small plots (20 gr of seed is distributed) and selection of the best lines for utilization in crosses or further studies. Most of the entries in this nursery are semi-dwarf with the height of 70-90 cm. The nursery is composed of genotypes primarily resistant to yellow rust. The nursery will contain around 150 entries including the checks. The winter/facultative germplasm developed by Turkey-CIMMYT-ICARDA IWWIP Program is combined with the germplasm from the breeding programs in Eastern Europe, Central and West Asia, Caucasus, and USA which generously agreed to make their germplasm available. This introduced germplasm was pre-screened in Turkey for adaptation to irrigated environment and diseases. The data for the nursery including disease reaction will be made available with the seed and through Internet. Around 80 sets of this nursery will be distributed globally for 202-2024 season. The minimum data required to be provided by the requester are; Days to Heading (from Jan 01), Plant height (cm), list of selected entries (General d).
